A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

In case you have a Linux cloud web hosting package with us and you’d like to enable the catch-all functionality for a given email mailbox that you’ve got in the account, it will take literally just a single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to accomplish this. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each and every email address that you have created under any domain hosted in your account. You can choose one single address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature instantly, so all emails sent to miswritten email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button for a second time will deactivate the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will display a warning notification and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply choose some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be enabled without effort if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll find a small logo conveniently located directly next to each one of them. With only a click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this feature using the menu that will come into sight. In case any of the preconditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will inform you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
